Part 2 - The Road to Hana

The Road to Hana

From the central north coast of Maui,
this famous road goes east along the northern coast
and then south to Hana on the eastern end of Maui.
Actually getting to Hana isn't really the point
(and there was no place to park when we got there).
The object is to enjoy the scenery, parks, and waterfalls along the way,
not to mention the 600 curves and the 54 one-lane bridges.

Nau'ailua Bay.

Bagras tree (Painted Gum / Eucalyptus degulpta) at Kenae Arboretum.

Looking almost straight down at a car that went off the road at the entrance to Kenae Arboretum.

Waterfall at Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park.

Natural arch on Pa'iola Bay at Wai'anapanapa State Park.

Another view of Pa'iola Bay.

'Alau Island off of Koki Beach at Hamoa.

Waterfall near mile marker 24 (between Wailua and Nahiku).
